Centre warns of action against latecomers central government employees reach by 9.15 and loose casual leave

Government Employees: Government employees who reach office late are now in trouble. The Modi government at the Center has made it clear that if you reach office more than 15 minutes late, then such employees will have to face trouble. Such employees will now have to face action. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Central Government has issued instructions to crores of central employees across the country to reach office by 9.15 am. This order will also apply to senior officers and along with this all the personnel have been asked to use the biometric system. It is worth noting that the biometric system was banned since the Corona period, which is now being restarted.

Government issued notification

The Personnel Department of the Central Government has issued a notification on this matter and said that if a central government employee fails to reach the office by 9.15 am, then in such a situation his half day leave will be considered. The department is allowing the employees a maximum delay of 15 minutes. Apart from this, information about the rules of leave has also been given in the circular. According to the report of Times of India, if a person wants to take leave, then he will have to inform the department a day in advance. At the same time, in case of taking emergency leave, it will now be necessary to submit an application.

Employees have a habit of coming late

Central government offices are open from 9 am to 5.30 pm, but there are many employees who do not come to the office on time. Many senior officials say that there is usually no fixed time for employees to come and go. Many times employees leave after 7 pm. Along with this, the employees also argue that after Corona, they often take the electronic file to their home and work even on weekends.

A long standing demand from the government

Ever since the formation of the Modi government in 2014, there has been a long standing demand for implementing the rule of coming to office for central employees, but the employees have always opposed it. The employees say that they travel a very long distance, due to which they are often late in coming to office. But now the government is in the mood to take action against those who come late to the office.
